26 Bible Verses About Spiritual Warfare for Parents and their Daughters

Parenting your daughter in today’s world is difficult – I should know, I have two daughters of my own. They are both in high school now, so I’ve been at it for a while already.

I’ve compiled a list of verses to help you encourage and direct your daughters in the truths of God’s word about spiritual warfare. Commit them to memory, recite them to one another, put them up in your homes.

Naturally, these verses can be used by anyone, not just for parents and daughters. But we have a particular focus and heart here at Inspire by Zelima for daughters.

Before we get to the verses, here are some truths that are not popular, but will help you understand why we need to teach our daughters the Word of God.

The enemy is using everything to attack our daughters

  • friends
  • other kids at school (or even at church)
  • social media
  • music
  • movies
  • books
  • schools

The enemy’s aim is to kill, steal and destroy:

  • their purpose
  • their identity
  • their minds
  • their future
  • their relationships with their parents
  • their relationships with good friends
  • their relationships with other Christians

But don’t despair – be encouraged!

Yes, the enemy is on a mission, but here are a couple of truths I’ve clung onto through the tough times:

The darker the world, the brighter the light shines

We as parents, and our children, have an opportunity to shine the light of Jesus like never before. As the world grows darker and more confused, the more our lives can show the difference that Jesus makes.

Your children were born at this time on purpose

It’s no accident that your children are growing up right now. God doesn’t make mistakes. He has a plan and a purpose for placing your children in this age of history, and he has equipped them with everything they need for it – including YOU as their parents.
